With 2017 being our 30th anniversary, ACA is extending to a global platform. Our purpose, unique curriculum, as well as the high level of quality and excellence will remain hallmarks of our exceptional full-time program dedicated to training and graduating actors to above industry standard for the Australian and international marketplace.

In 2017 ACA is opening its vocational full-time program to the global market. In doing so, ACA will move its intake date to the international model of beginning the program in July 2017 (auditions in May 2017) with graduation in November 2019, in line with the other three major Australian drama schools.

As we continue to take the best students Australia-wide and now including the world, ACA will work with new strategic partners to market the program globally.

ACA aims to have in place a robust student loan scheme for the July 2017 intake to ensure certainty and security for all students offered a place in our program.

All prospective students who have applied and paid for a November/December audition across Australia will be able to transfer their audition application and fee to our May auditions. If any prospective student wishes to have their audition transferred or their fee refunded, please contact us at info@acasydney.com.au and a full refund will be granted.

All of our current First Year and Second Year students have secured Vet Student Loan funding (formerly VET FEE-HELP) until the end of 2017. For our 2018 First Year company as well as for our 2018 third year company, we aim to have in place a new funding source to ensure they are able to graduate at the high standard which ACA ensures for all of our students.

ACA’s New Program

In February of next year, ACA will begin our new 5-month program called The Next Step running for 21 hours each week (MON/WED/FRID 10am – 6pm). This new program builds upon the success of The Next Step Program which ran the last two years here at ACA. This program will cater for high-level students wishing to take an intensive program allowing them to take their best next step into full-time vocational training at ACA or any school in Australia and worldwide. This new program will give Sydney the best intensive preparation program available and will be taught by the high-level tutors from our full-time program. Applications are now open.

Our website will be kept up to date as our new and exciting developments are announced. If anyone would like further information, please e-mail us at info@acasydney.com.au as we are more than happy to help guide wherever we can.

ACA will also announce and detail our exciting new strategic partnerships beginning in 2017.

The arts sector and our program is vital to Australia’s educational needs. We are going to ensure future students are not disaffected or disadvantaged, and that our culture and student success continues to thrive.

Thank you.
