10 Week Programs


All classes run once a week from 07:30 PM – 10:00 PM with a maximum class size of 16 ensuring personalised attention and the maximum outcomes for everyone. Each 10-week term begins in February, April, July and October of each year. Each 10-week term can be joined at any intake and each course has its own focus, varied material to work on and special industry guests so each 10-week course is unique.

Monday nights: Stage – the craft of creativity via stage acting. A closer look at the specific skills needed for engaging on-stage acting. This course covers all aspects of stagecraft, including rehearsal techniques, developing character through improvisation, maintaining energy and focus, and personal confidence and communication.

Tuesday nights: Screen – the craft of creativity via screen acting. Detailed study and practical application of acting skills for the screen environment. Students will examine how performance is seen through the camera lens, and how skills can be tailored to work with this specific medium. The program includes screen terminology, on-set awareness, script analysis and practical skills for acting on camera.

Thursday nights: Casting – how to make the most of every casting opportunity and play your A-game every time. Present your best performance every time in auditions and casting sessions to maximise your success and land the best roles. Learn how to take your auditions to the next level, with constructive course elements including approach, attitude, preparation, process and onstage performance.

    STAGE – embrace the foundation principles of stage acting, the cornerstone of acting itself.

    You will cover: quality communication, creative play, instinct and impulse, rapport and connection, imagination and invention via acting exercises, processes and particular class work.

    Each term has a distinct focus for the understanding and experience of acting to be channeled through:
    Term 1 – Acting technique & monologuess
    Term 2 – Aussie scenes
    Term 3 – Short form & Long form Improv
    Term 4 – American scenes

    The full course fee is $590.00, comprising $100.00 deposit plus $490.00 to be paid in full before the first class starts.

    SCREEN – for those who have had some previous experience with the process of acting and who now wish to develop their skills via acting the screen medium or learn more about the medium and build upon previous experience..

    You will cover: understanding shot size and working within the frame, hitting your marks, continuity, how relationships work on screen, how to include the greater world within the frame, inner monologue and the ‘thinking’ which is required for screen life.

    Each term has a distinct focus for the understanding and experience of acting to be channeled through::
    Term 1 – Aussie TV & Film
    Term 2 – American TV & Film
    Term 3 – Television Commercials & TV Presenting
    Term 4 – Film Genres

    The full course fee is $590.00, comprising $100.00 deposit plus $490.00 to be paid in full before the first class starts.

    CASTING – for those who are currently attending auditions/screen tests or are preparing to do so. All casting opportunities are where the rubber hits the road, jobs are won or lost, and a career is carved. Learn from the experts in their field.

    You will cover: how to prepare, how not to prepare, the essential ingredients to any audition, creating a beginning, middle and end to each audition piece, the power of stillness, range, depth and language, putting your focus on the other person, and playing to effect change in both them and yourself.

    Each term has a distinct focus for the understanding and experience of acting to be channeled through:
    Term 1 – Screen Monologue Auditions
    Term 2 – Screen Scene Auditions
    Term 3 – Theatre Auditions
    Term 4 – Pilot Season
