For almost 4 decades Dean Carey has been a stand for powerful and meaningful performance and for every actor being able to fully explore, grow and be their best. He continues to be a stand for education in action: practical, positive, productive learning within an inspiring artistic environment. He is a stand for a high-challenge/high-support mix for ongoing high-performance.
As a teacher and coach, Dean is an open, caring, loyal and passionate true believer in human potential. He brings all of him to the teaching environment: his passion and inquiry, his searching mind and his ever-present ability to seek new ways for powerful learning and deeper insights.
“I wanted to create an online acting experience for actors new to the craft, those who want a refresher, and for directors who want to learn how to get the best from their actors. The Acting Edge will reconnect artists as to why acting is vital and important in their life. I have never believed in breaking actors down in order to build them back up. That implies something is wrong and faulty within the actor. I believe in unleashing within each actor their wisdom, intuition and instinct. My online program will allow people anywhere in the world access to my passion and values and to all I believe this industry can accomplish. I look forward to welcoming you online…” Dean Carey, 2016.
