Shy Magsalin is a theatre director and performer whose artistic practice is predominantly based on the Suzuki Method of Actor Training. She is an official member of the International Suzuki Company of Toga (I-SCOT) in Japan. 

Back in 2006, she graduated from the University of Western Sydney with a Bachelor of Performance,
Theory and Practice (Theatremaking), and for 15 years has directed, written and performed in various works locally, nationally and internationally. Productions include The Architect and the Emperor of Assyria (I-SCOT, Japan), Room (Earthcrosser Company, Sydney) and Up All Night (Still the Monster, Brisbane).
