ANDREW LLOYDE
With a background as an actor and a graduate from NIDA, Andrew has enjoyed for over twenty years, a successful career as one of Australia’s leading performance consultants.
Andrew currently teaches in the full-time course, The Journey, and is Course Director of The Power of Performance for Actors Centre Australia. He has been Head of Acting at The Western Australian Academy of Performing arts, Course Coordinator of the NIDA Open Programme and course director at East Sydney Technical College.
Andrew co- founded the Young Actors Studio at NIDA and has taught and directed at numerous other acting training institutions and universities around the country.
Drawing from twenty years of experience from the Performing Arts sector and merging these techniques with a Performance Psychology methodology drawn from training in this area, Andrew has evolved an approach to acting training that many regard as unique.
He has successfully facilitated workshops in a range of mediums and training areas that extend from the corporate sector to workshopping with indigenous groups. His expertise and interest ranges from working with beginners, to full time training of future professionals. He has also spent time master classing professional actors wanting to sharpen their skills on camera with Faith Martin and coached actors on set.
Andrew has for a number of years successfully transferred his skills as an acting tutor into the corporate world and facilitated workshops through his own company with large corporations including Computer Science Corporation, BHP, BT financial group and a number of small to medium businesses, individuals and business professionals including lawyers, vice presidents, senior managers and professional public speakers.
